Aldo in NYC!

Finally, Aldo gelato and sorbet has opened in NYC!! It's called Screme, but it's the same owner, and most importantly, the same recipes. I went to the (tiny) one on 69th and B-way, but there's also one in Times Square, and they're planning to open a big one on the Upper East in about a month. So exciting that one does not have to travel to J-lem to get kosher Aldo now! And also the owner explained that since there are 53 chains in Israel, everything is made in a central factory, so the gelato is usually about 2 weeks old once it's served. In NY, though, the gelato is made on the spot, so it's served the same day it's made. On the other hand, the fruit in Israel is better, so the sorbet tends to be better. Give and take.

J: He does, but maybe I'll sign him up for a second. aaronafeldman@gmail.com
D: Thanks
J: aaroni.macaroni is taken, who would do that?

Very cheesy

Kiawah 2009 I

There will undoubtedly be multiple posts about this year's very special Kiawah vacation, including the results from Friday's family photo shoot. But before the videos and pics are posted, I want to thank everyone for so warmly welcoming Ilana. We were very touched by how everyone was so eager to embrace her and meet her individually. Hats off to all you! Todah and love from J-lem.

Welcome home, everyone!

Dad's retirement

It was a hectic month for Dad as he closed his private practice after 19 years. His patients have been calling, writing letters, bringing gifts all month as they received word of is retirement. He is extremely loved and appreciated by many, many patients. They remarked of his devotion and care as "life changing" "above and beyond" etc. Here is a tour of his office from last week...
